Like so much that’s happening right now, it wasn’t meant to be this way. Following its premiere at London’s King’s Head Theatre in 2018, Rush was due to make its West End debut at Trafalgar Studios this month to coincide with Pride.
This production was cast earlier this year, with rehearsals due to start in late March and then… well, we all know what happened next.
Thankfully, instead of simply cancelling the show, the actors have recorded a reading of the play via Zoom. Directed by Joseph Winters, the 90-minute reading can now be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
