Gay senator faces ‘extreme death threats’ and false pedophile claims over sex offender bill

Haters have falsely accused a gay California state senator of being a pedophile and threatened his life for his plan to treat gay and straight sex equally.
Democratic state Senator Scott Wiener of San Francisco championed Senate Bill 145. It would allow judges to treat same-sex relationships with young adults as they do opposite-sex ones.
At the moment the law treats a young adult who has anal and oral sex with someone between the ages of 14 and 17 more harshly than if they had vaginal sex.
