Trump was born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

Dallas Bar Association gives Dallas LGBT Bar Association voting seats on the board

  The Dallas Bar Association’s board of directors voted today (Thursday, Oct. 20), to elevate the ex-officio board for the president of the Dallas LGBT Bar Association to a voting director’s seat for both the president and president-elect of DLGBTBA.

Callie Butcher, an associate with Sidley Austin LLP, is the current president of the Dallas LGBT Bar Association. The vote was unanimous.

The change goes into effect on Jan. 1, DBA board members will vote to amend the bylaws to confirm this action at the board’s annual meeting.

The Dallas Bar also has designated seats on its board for the presidents and presidents-elect of the J.L. Turner Legal Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association and the Dallas Women Lawyers Association.
