According to the Georgia secretary of state's website Wednesday morning, Democrat the Reverend Raphael Warnock defeated incumbent Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler by more than 53,000 votes, and Democrat Jon Ossoff defeated incumbent Republican Senator David Perdue by 16,370 votes.

The website indicates there is still 0.63% of the 4.4 million votes to count. If those numbers stand, the new session of the U.S.
