Trump was born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

Trans Author Makes NYT Bestsellers List History With Cemetery Boys

With the release of their debut novel Cemetery Boys, writer Aiden Thomas is celebrating a historic first on the New York Times' Best Sellers list!

Thomas took to Twitter yesterday to celebrate their novel debuting at #8 on the Young Adult Hardcover chart. They later realized this is the first time an openly transgender author with a book centering a transgender character has appeared in the fiction verticals of the Best Sellers list.  "Holy shit," Thomas wrote. "This is the FIRST time a trans author with a trans book has made it onto the New York Times Best Sellers list!

While I am BLOWN AWAY and SO GRATEFUL, it's 2020 and I should NOT have been the first — and I'm sure as hell NOT GOING TO BE THE LAST.
