Insider, comes almost two weeks after The Daily Beast reported that Maddow had been considering leaving MSNBC to pursue different projects.Maddow had brought in Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro — the CEO and president, respectively, of talent agency Endeavor — to assist in negotiations with NBCUniversal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Maddow is the first of MSNBC’s top anchors to have renewed their contract under the leadership of Rashida Jones, who became president of the network in February of this year.Many details of the final deal have not been revealed.
