Mastermind contestant wears trans Pride flag and delivers LGBTQ+ history lesson

On Monday (4 May) night’s grand final episode of long-running British series Mastermind, contestant Emma Laslett used her appearance to highlight some important LGBTQ+ history with her chosen subject: the 1969 Stonewall Riots.
Emma, who previously appeared on the show in 2014, wore a dress in the colours of the trans Pride flag and answered questions about folk singer Dave Van Ronk, trans icon Marsha P Johnson, and even the item used to break the Stonewall’s doors down (it was a parking meter).
