Joel Kim Booster is speaking out. The 34-year-old Fire Island star issued a statement following Billy Eichner‘s comments about LGBTQ+ movies, which received backlash on social media. “This is not some streaming thing which feels disposable, or which is like one of a million Netflix shows.

I needed to appreciate that ‘This is a historic moment, and somehow, you’re at the center of it. You helped create it,’” Billy said in a recent interview, which was slammed for seemingly slighting Fire Island, which came out on Hulu earlier this year.
