supports HTML5 videoIain Lee has criticised the BBC for being slow to react after a radio caller used the N-word eight times and repeated a gay slur live on-air. The caller phoned in during Sunny and Shay’s BBC Radio London show, hosted by married couple Mandeep “Sunny” and Gursharonjit “Shay” Grewal, on Saturday night.
It was during a conversation about board games in honour of National Monopoly Day on Friday that the caller said: ‘Since I have moved to London from Greece, I have played Monopoly with my friend… ‘But in my country we play a game where you are a white nationalist and kill all the n****s and gays.’ Shay, clearly uncomfortable, simply said: ‘Right,’ but the call was still not terminated.
