A clip has gone viral on social media of the actor and singer, who’s best known for his role as Ricky Bowen in High School Musical: The Series, in which he nonchalantly discusses his sexuality.

In the video, Bassett compliments British singer-songwriter Harry Styles and his “charming” personality before using the opportunity to ‘come out’ as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. “I think he’s a nice guy, doesn’t say too much, but when he talks, it matters,” gushed Bassett. “He’s just cool.
