Here’s Barbie Ferreria’s next project after her shocking Euphoria exit
Barbie Ferreria has landed her first role since her surprising Euphoria exit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Unpregnant star has joined Prime Video’s upcoming thriller House of Spoils – which also stars West Side Story actress Ariana DeBose.
Directed and written by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, the film is set to follow a dedicated chef (DeBose ) who opens up a “farm-to-table” restaurant on a remote estate.
However, her journey as a restaurant owner is set to be plagued with conflict as she battles “kitchen chaos, a dubious investor, crushing self-doubts…and the powerful spirit of the estate’s previous owner, who threatens to sabotage her at every turn.” While additional information surrounding the film is being kept underwraps, the streamer revealed that Ferreira will be playing a “hopeful but sharp-tongued sous chef.” The news of Ferreria joining House of Spoils comes a few days after she announced her departure from Euphoria.
Taking to Instagram, the 25-year-old opened up about the shocking decision in an emotional statement. “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,” she wrote. “I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today.
