Gay Project launches the first Drag School programme in Ireland

Gay Project has announced that they are launching the first-ever Drag School in Ireland. The 10-week course was created in partnership with Cork Pride, Cork ETB, and St.

John’s Central College, and will kick off on Thursday, May 5.Leading the troops is none other than Queen Mia Gold, a Portuguese drag artist based in the Rebel County.

A previous winner of Drag Hen’s Den Ireland, she now dons the Programme Coordinator crown for the school, giving “you better work” a whole new meaning!https://www.instagram.com/p/CZFobj7sxqI/According to Gay Project: “This programme aims to enhance Cork’s continued history and contribution to the art of drag in Ireland.

It seems to promote the vibrant culture of drag and support the ongoing evolution of drag in Ireland.“Participants will learn valuable life skills, build their self-confidence and personal development growth.”The course is made up of eight lessons, followed by a rehearsal evening, and finally, an end of term performance where students will serve what they’ve learned.
