Netflix has released a speech by Dave Chappelle where he addresses the backlash to his previous special The Closer.A 40-minute special titled What’s In A Name was released on the streaming platform on Thursday (July 7) without any prior announcement, featuring Chappelle’s speech at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington D.C from June 20, 2022.The speech was part of a ceremony to rename the school’s theatre after the comedian. The school’s decision, however, was criticised following the controversy around Chappelle’s Netflix special The Closer, where some material was perceived as transphobic.In November last year, Chappelle held a Q&A with Duke Ellington students following the special’s release, where some criticised him for his dismissal of complaints from the LGBTQ+ community.

Piers Morgan Uncensored on Monday evening and unleashed her opinion on transgender women in sport.Since Macy's interview, the singer has received countless hate messages, leading her to share her apology online, however, Macy has now taken to Twitter to hit out at her critics.Macy upset many fans on Monday when she was asked by the former Good Morning Britain presenter to describe what a woman is.She replied: "I’d say a human being with boobs."You have to start there. And a vagina! Dr. Jordan Peterson has been suspended from Twitter for calling out the "criminal physician" who removed Ellen, now Elliot Page's breasts.The controversial tweet was flagged as violating Twitter's rules against hateful conduct, and Peterson has reportedly indicated that he will "never" delete the tweet.Peterson was addressing The Umbrella Academy actor Elliot Page in his tweet.Page came out as a trans man in December 2020, and the recent season of The Umbrella Academy reflected this change, having his character change from Vanya to Viktor Hargreeves."Remember when pride was a sin?" wrote Peterson on Twitter on June 22, the middle of Pride Month. He continued, writing to his 2.8 million followers, "And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician."It seems to have taken a week, but the content of that tweet specifically got Peterson removed from Twitter, as revealed by his daughter Mikhaila Peterson and his friend Dave Rubin.Mikhaila screenshotted the message that told her father he'd been suspended, and also mentioned prospective Twitter owner Elon Musk in her tweet.
