David Archuleta says fans WALKED OUT on Christmas concert after he spoke about his sexuality

David Archuleta has been out on the road with his 'The More The Merrier Christmas Tour' just over two weeks ago.And while sounding humbled and grateful for the fans attending the holiday shows, the American Idol alum took to Instagram Wednesday to reveal that dozens of people walked out during a break in his concert in Delta, Utah after he spoke about his queer identity.It appears the singer decided to share a lengthy message to his fans on social media after receiving an email after that particular show — seemingly from a venue employee or manager — who praised Archuleta's performance before sharing their disappointment in his decision to talk about his sexuality on stage.

David Archuleta, 31, revealed dozens of people left his Christmas show in Delta, Utah on November 29 after he talked about his queer identityThat person behind the email began by calling the show 'incredible' while crediting Archuleta for taking the 'crowd on a magical Christmas journey.''They got an incredible experience but they did not pay for David to take 15 minutes and ruin that Christmas experience they just had,' that person wrote of his decision  to talk about his sexuality. 'I do not believe that concert was a setting for that to happen.' The venue employee went on to reveal how they wished the show would have 'ended after O Holy Night and people would have left feeling like they had just experienced a Christmas.'In his Instagram post, Archuleta confessed that he could feel the tension in the venue just before people started to get up and leave.'The person singing those songs on stage was no different from the person at the end of the show,' he wrote to fans about his concert in Delta, Utah. 'I am learning to love myself and encourage others.
