But, perhaps, that is because it expects patrons to walk in with the same attitude. This is thanks to its new owners, Hannah Spangler and Allison Crowley, who bought and partially renamed the place two months ago. Before their purchase, Griffith’s Tavern was a neighborhood dive bar for nearly 100 years, catering primarily to straight men. It was a space where guys could sip on cheap canned beers while the bar’s previous owner Rick Koehler ensured all of his customers had enough ice.

Same-sex marriage has never been more popular in the United States than it is today, according to a recent poll. According to Gallup’s annual Value and Beliefs poll – taken every year during the month of May – 71 percent of Americans claim they support marriage, besting the previous high of 70 percent recorded in 2021.When Gallup first began the poll back in 1996, only 27 percent of Amercians supported gay marriage. Despite this dismal first poll, support for same-sex nuptials would steadily rise in the subsequent years.

Styles’ fans are so hyped up over the project, a couple of mostly forgettable production stills sent Twitter into a tailspin.Still, count us among those excited to see the movie when it arrives October 21, and not just for that sex scene. But since we’re on the topic…In a Vanity Fair interview published Thursday, Grandage opened up about how he approached those intimate moments with Styles, who plays a closeted police officer in the 1950s.Grandage described the film’s lovemaking “in the broadest sense of the word, something that was choreographically interesting and not just some kind of thrusting sense of sex going on.”Is it getting hot in here or is it just choreographically interesting?!Grandage added that the scenes looked to the “very sculptural” 1959 Alain Resnais film Hiroshima Mon Amour for visual inspiration.So we’re imagining something like the first 90 seconds of the film, but make it gay, and ideally less evocative of nuclear tragedy:“These two men, when they’re together, seem to be free,” Grandage said of the film’s protagonists, Tom (Styles) and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson).

This is fun, though the continued success of Paris Hilton should serve as a reminder that cancel culture does not exist.

Its passage into law makes Louisiana the 18th state to explicitly pass such restrictions into law, although Georgia effectively has a ban in place, having handed off responsibility to the Georgia High School Association, which implemented a restoration of its own.Under the Louisiana bill, coeducational, or mixed, teams will be open to both males and females, as long as a school does not disband a female-designated team for the purpose of creating a coed team, which the new law says would place cisgender females at an athletic disadvantage.

In a revealing piece written for The Metro, ex-Love Island contestant Sharon Gaffka opened up on her time in the villa and coming out as bisexual on the show last year.

That they are worthy of death,” Awes said. “Every single homosexual in our country should be charged with a crime, the abomination of homosexuality that they have, they should be convicted in a lawful trial, they should be sentenced to death, they should be lined up against a wall and shot in the back of the head.” Awes and the Stedfast Baptist Church are in the midst of an anti-Pride month where he visits various local churches and organizations celebrating Pride, and filming himself calling these churches blasphemous and tools of satan. Last month, another preacher at the church, Jonathan Shelley, made the news for his call to commit violence against LGBTQ+ people.
